After 12 years as Retreat Director at the Holy Name Passionist Retreat Center in Houston, Father Joe Moons will be moving on. Father Joe was born in Haastretch, Netherlands in 1951, being one of thirteen children. His family immigrated to the United States in 1956 settling in the Los Angeles area. As of this writing, March 21st, we are in our 15th day of Lent. You don’t need to be a math major to wonder how, if Ash Wednesday was the 5th of March, we are only 15 days into our Lenten observance and preparation for Easter. The reason for the seemingly inaccurate count is that Sundays during Lent don’t count. Pro-Life Stations

This Friday night is the Pro-Life Stations of the Cross at St. Mary’s in Plantersville. It won’t cost you anything but an hour for the Lord – and the babies. We will be using an especially ecumenical (read generic Christian) Stations developed for use on the sidewalk. Called “A Way of the Cross for Victims of Abortion,” except for a short prayer at each station, it is all from Scripture and led by lay people.
